Hey everyone, my name is Pra, and this is my story of faith.
I come from a family rooted in christian faith. My grandfather and uncle(back home in srilanka) were pastors, so I grew up around church, prayer, and worship. But for a long time, it felt like something I inherited rather than something I truly lived.
It wasn’t until I moved to Australia that my faith became real and an important part of my life . Being away from everything and everyone familiar challenged me. I went through seasons of doubt and uncertainty, trying to figure life out on my own. During that time, I spent two years working a hectic fast-food job, doing overnight shifts. It was exhausting, and I felt stuck. Deep down, I knew I wasn’t where I was meant to be.
One day, I reached a point where I couldn’t carry it anymore. I just surrendered and said,
“God, I give this to You. Im backing off, You take control.”
And within five seconds of that prayer, I received a call from my current employer offering me an interview. That moment changed everything for me. It showed me that God is real, that He listens, and that he moves when we put our trust in him.
God has come through for me in so many ways. And not only that, He surrounded me with an amazing community at MLCC. It’s more than just a church to me..It feels like home, and it’s helped me grow so much in my faith.
I’m still learning and growing, but now my faith isn’t just something passed down to me..It’s something I’ve experienced for myself.
And that’s made all the difference.
